If you have a second 6 volt battery - wire two in series and charge them as 12. -- or --

Short of going out and buy a 6 volt charger, put about 4 to 5 ohms of ballast resistor(s) in series from the charger. Make sure the resistor(s) handle at least 24 watts ( 12v x 2A = 24 watts). Measure the voltage drop before you start - you should end up with a little less than 7 volts. This setup should work for the battery on a consistent basis, and should be cheaper than buying a new charger.

Also, if you're in no hurry at all - a 6 volt AC to DC adapter running about 300 milliamps might do it in 10 to 15 days at a price of 7 or 8 bucks.
