Hello all. I recently discovered that my H has no thermostat in it. I have been reading the archives and if I am understanding the posts correctly, the IH thermostats and the ones you can get at the autoparts store for the tractor are different from each other as the original type is longer. Is this correct? If so, is it worth the extra money to buy one from CaseIH or is the aftermarket just as good. Also, is it better to run the tractor with the thermostat in it since I am assuming it would run a bit warmer that way (stay withing operating temperature)? Usually use this one to brushhog and disc. Thanks in advance. -RayA ps. A wonderful day in the high 60's and clear here in south central OK. What a wonderful day to be tinkering on the ole tractor!!
