A Delco 10SI will JUST fit. But it will be tight to both the rocker cover and the side of the hood - there will be no means for belt adjustment. Consequently you'll need to use an idler pulley to tension the belt.

Another approach is to install physically smaller alternator - like those used in many late model imported cars.
