Chuck most likely the problem is not your carb. It is probably your ignition system.
There is a simple test to see if you have any fire reaching the spark plug:
1. Find a piece of wire about 6 inches long
2. Put one end of the wire in the end of the plug wire and hold the other close to the engine block or spark plug
3. Hit the starter button WITHOUT the kill switch on
4. Repeat #'s 1 and 2 with all four cylinders
If there is a small blue spark on all four cylinders it is not your ignition system and then it may be your spark plugs have gone bad or it could even be your carb (not likely from what you have said it is doing)
If there is no spark check all your ignition components like the rotor, point gap, points and condensor, see if the shaft is turning (if shaft is not turning call a professional and have him look at it)
If all of this is working correctly it is your carb or it could even be that your valve tappet clearence is incorrect or your distrubuter is a little bit out of time (CALL A PROFESSIONAL TO COMPLETE ALL OF THIS WORK FOR YOU)
I don't meen to try and empty your pocket book but I am a semi experienced tractor restorer and do reccomend that you do call a PROFESSIONAL for work that you don't know how to do.
