We had an 82 which has newer styling but is about the same. It was worthless for oats unless you cut only the heads. If you take the whole plant it would plug constantly, wrap and take the beater bearings out in about 1 minute. They had no protection on the inside. If you cut just the head it would work well and it would work with the whole plant in very dry weather. If you are doing soybeans it probably will work great. The old 76 had about 5 times the capacity in oats (serious) but you had the canvas which could cause some trouble. If you live in a humid region and want it for small grain you may have trouble. Just my opinion.
