Two years ago middle of dec. 2000 we got more than a foot of snow and it would drift real deep in some spots. A guy I work with lives in a real rural area said there were 7' drifts in some spots, actually covered over the top of street signs. He said that he was snowed in and a dairy farmer a mile away plowed out his road 2+ miles + his driveway with an enormous JD machine which had just about everything a guy could dream of, heated cab, lights powerful enough to light a ballpark, dually tires- the works. The guy I work with was very lucky. I wonder if a pickup could plow out 7' drifts.
