If you take the weights off and the tires aren't loaded it will probably be around 4000# for the tractor if the trailer weighs less than 2000# you should be ok. I have a new GMC 1500 short bed with a 4.8L V8 auto and 3.73 rear. I have pulled my H twice with it. It's just at the limit of what the owners manual says is the limit with 1000# of extra balast weights. Trailer brakes are a must and make sure you have plenty of tongue weight.
