I went out to the farm today to put my axle seals in the 300. Already had it up on blocks last weekend. So I took a buddy with me. Along with him and my dad we took the wheels off and the hubs off. I took the covers off the end of the axle housing. Went to check to see if I had the right seals and low and behold they were wrong. Which didn't surprise me. I bought them from the local auto parts store and they told them I could bring them back if they were wrong. My question is what size are the axles on the 300 row crop? I measured them and they were 2 1/2 inches across and the seals I had purchased was 1 3/4 inches. The old seals and the new seals looked identical except the size. I just want to make sure the tractor has the right axles in it so I don't spend a bunch of time trying to find the right ones.
