According to the information in some of the books I've got, both the M and the 300 used the E-12, 1-1/4" carb. Apparently IH switched from the D-10 to the E-12 on the H model about the time it went from being an H to the Super H. So it looks to me as though you should definitely plan on using the larger carb. LOL.
