Sean, The advertising for the Farmalls claimed that you could farm 240 acres with an M and 160 with an H (you probably should have had a "helper" tractor to do the chore-type work so you didn't have to continually be hooking up and unhooking the heavier tillage equipment). That was true in those days. As Bill Smith pointed out, it took a lot of hard work and long days and picking corn in December (sometimes the next May if it got too snowy, cold and slick). If you are working a full-time job in town, you probably should have some more modern equipment that moves faster, hooks up to different implements quicker, and maybe keeps you warm in the cold weather. It doesn't matter if you keep cool in hot weather - that's just part of the job. Good luck, Stan
