I like to say call it what you may, unless the tractor is in useful working condition I wouldn't keep it around. I know of a couple of collectors that do a less than perfect mechanical restoration and perfect body and paint work. For the most part they keep them stored inside and never start them. Often see some nice looking tractors in this group with stuck engines. Then there are guys out there doing both mechanical, paint and originality perfect. I like to call these guys the purests. (no direspect) You must admire these guys for time and patience they display. We also have the guy and I am one of them who wants his tractor in working condition. He will add every upgrade available such as alternator, radial tires, power steering, user friendly seat, etc. Many of these tractors are still very useful and competative with new tractors given the capital cost differences. This is precisely why you never see many tractors at shows with factory 3 point hitches, they are still at work on the farm. Tractor pullers to some degree will fit this catergory although the upgrades may be different. Depends on your priorities.
