Jimbo: The hydraulic pump on my IH 444 was working fine one day and then quit the next. The clearances inside the hydraulic pump are very close. If you remove it and can turn the gears easily by hand, it is probably time to trade it in to your IH dealer for a rebuilt one. If you bring it in, they can tell you if its shot or not. My rebuilt cost about 300, but, YA GOTTA HAVE ONE. Good luck.
