Farmall M Replacement of Fan Belt

I bought a new fan belt for my M and I plan to replace the belt soon. Still haven't got my manual in. Are there any tips on doing this. I haven't looked at this very close. My tractor is located a pretty good distance from where I live so I can't just walk out the door and look at it or work on it. I bought the belt cause the old one seemed loose and I didn't see any way to adjust the tension on the belt. That seems strange. Any help on this will be appreciated.
