Tony, Yours is a common problem. The clearance in the pump may be too much for the pump to prime itself. You can help it along. On the rear flange of the engine on the left side, just behind the valve cover and under the hydraulic lines is an 1/8" pipe plug with an allen socket. Remove the plug and pump oil into it with a pressure oiler. This oil will go directly into the pump and possibly seal it well enough to allow it to prime. Remember, you won't show pressure on the gauge until the pump has filled the filter housing. Let us know how it works. George Willer
