Have just started to rebuild W30 engine which was badly froze up.have removed two pistons and liners that were scrap and sourced another 2 to suit. I have never worked on Farmall type engines with ball race mains, with crank coming out the end.I want to remove the other 2 pistons to hone the bores, and the mains rumble a bit so I thought I'd remove the crank. What is the safest way to accomplish this. The flywheel lock key is in place, but it looks like the draw thread on the inside is l/h thread, does one have to make a tool in the lathe or is there an easier answer? What is the form for removing the bearings. Assuming that I can get new replacements I shall renew. If that is the case I guess it leaves oxy acetylene option open! I would appreciate any help in this as all the engines I have done before have had a conventional bottom end, and it's a bit late when you've screwed up !! Yours in anticipation Tim Ingles
