Yep Gene bad cables and frame grounding problems are difficult problems to find. I have a friend with a Dodge pickup Who had changed out the battery, starter, and alternator several times in the course of about 1 year. I checked out his problem at his request. Did voltage drop tests , etc on cables. Found a braided ground cable between the engine and chassis that was very loose on one end. Repaired that and he was one happy man. Also to test batteries check the specific gravity of the acid in each cell. If one cell is very different from the rest get a new battery. You can get the little float the balls type of hydrometer very cheaply. The nice types with the scales on the float a nice, but more dollars. The little cheap float the balls type are usually good for most troubleshooting. Of course if you have one of those maintenance free batteries with no lids on the cells then you will have to do an electrical load test on the battery. Ben in KY
