make sure you get a alternator with an internal voltage regulator. ask for a mid to late 1970's chevy truck unit. look at the two spade plugs on the side. if they are side by side like this ll it is the old style. you wnat your plugs to be -- in line like that. You can buy a double spade plug for splicing in at Auto Zone. remember to have the power switched off to #2 spade, when not running or the battery will drain down. If you need additional drawings, ask.
