I have changed my 1951 cub from 6 volt to 12 volt following the diagram I found on this site. It will not start unless I pull out the stop switch but will not stop when I push it in. I can stop it by pulling the choke all the way out or moving the throttle all the way down. Here is how I wired it up. + battery to starter. + ammeter to starter. - ammeter to BAT on alternator then to #2 on alt. - ammeter to stop switch right side. left side of stop switch to light switch with inline fuse holder. left side of stop switch to #1 alternator. left side of stop switch to ballast resistor then to + side of coil. - coil to dist. cap. Any ideas to why it won't stop? Thanks, Kevin
