706gas or diesel

I would like to buy a farmall 706. I would like some feedback as to what would be the better tractor as far as reliability and ease of maintaince. Would also like to know weather the horsepower in the diesel is that much more than the gas tractor. Does the deisel start on gas or does it have glow plugs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
