Our brand new 1947 B came with the crank installed with the handle forward and resting next to the top of the battery lid and still is that way today as BROTHER still uses the tractor for lots of tasks.Maybe you need to bend the holder a little bit to hold the crank tighter.This tractor still has original starter and generator and lites batt box and on and on has been overhauled twice and now is not used near as much as in the past but sure has lots of memories.
