We just took a beuaty off of a 856. Stand on a ladder and wiggle the top for 10-15 minutes. Take a thin chisel and hammer up between the muffler and exhaust pipe - it may bend out 1/16" which is o.k. If it wiggles even the slightest amount you are very close to getting it off. I would lubricate it for several days before you start. We didn't have time for WD-40 and had to get the hood off. There may be bettter ways but this worked without damaging anything.
