I have to chime in on these things too. I was lifting mine this year, trying to grab the locking bar to lock it in the up possition and the bar dropped. God put a rock under the spot where the part with the pitmon was attached and it hit the rock. I felt a slight tinge on my right index finger. My wife thought I went nuts. I was cussing a storm. I could not believe I could be so stupid. My finger is fine, thanks to the rock. I hope I am a little wiser about those slipping sickles.
