Your shifter maybe worn enough that it has lost control of the 4th/5th gear fork. I would knock the pin out of the shifter lever down where it meets the transmission cover. Pull it out block the rear wheels front and back. Take a light and shine it into where you pulled the lever out. Line up the shift forks with a long screw driver. You may have to have someone rock the tractor back and forth slightly to get it out of gear. You will be able to tell when it is out of gear as tractor will rock easier. You will also see when you look in the transmission cover hole that the shifter forks are lined up for 1st/rev, 2nd/3rd and then 4th/5th. Remember when you look down the shift lever hole the 4th/5th fork is to the left when you are sitting on the seat. This is an easy fix take your time to tickle the gears. Other recommendation is to take your time shifting.
