I haven't ever run a Farmall M before, but have a pretty good idea of what one'll do. That said, I pulled a single shank subsoiler through some old field land, mostly sticky balck soil. That single shank all the way down could stop the 2755 John Deere (plus cab) pulling it in some spots. If you want to do a good job and really plow deep, you might wanna consider something more than an M. Just my $.02 though. Good luck.
