300 utility coolant plumbing

My 300 Utility has a peice of heater hose connected to a fitting on the left side of the block near the bottom of the carb to the right side of the block where it cconnects to a 'T' fitting where the temperature guage sender unit is connected. The heater hose also had an engine heater connected in series with it. I want to remove the engine heater and put the plumbing back to its original configuration. Can anyone tell me if the 300U originally had this heater hose on it and exactly how the related plumbing was originally connected?
