I used to own a 424. I never used the built in auxiliary function, but if I recall correctly, the system uses the 3pt control valve. When you are using the auxiliary, it just diverts from the 3point system to the external cylinder. Thus the 3 point hitch does not work when you are using the auxiliary valve. If you want both to work, I think you will have to make some alterations and add an external control valve.
