On my 2 H's with stuck engines I removed the engines and then set to work with the hammer. Much easier when the engine is up on the stand. Doing the same now with a 450 engine. I've been lucky enough that once I get the engines out of the tractors and set upside down I can remove all the main caps, flip the crank over and remove all the rod caps too. Then I can get the crankshaft out of the way and not worry about damaging it.

Good luck and take the engine out, it's easier that way.
