Where do you live, I live in SW Ontario and there is more economical hp around than that, $10,000. Cdn right. You could probably buy an 86 series with cab for that money. Remember one item, unless you are prepared to farm with less than 1/2 hp per acre, your dad is right, your out of your tree. That is exactly what you are competeing with. If you need financing for a 1066, forget it. Those lands are commanding some good rent. Keep the farm and rent the land, become a landlord, someday governments around the world will stop subsidizing farming, and once again you will be able to compete with fellow farmers and not leading government treasuries. Take this advise, you will become lord of the land.
