I am not that familar with a 656 model....But,If this hyd pump is mounted up front on the engine,like 424,2424,444 models etc and it needs bleeding.There is a hyd line on the right side of the tractor with a small loop,this is where it is air bound on these models.Now,Try backing up your tractor on a incline or even onto the body of a ramp truck ,get the rearend higher than the front end.Start working your rear 3pth hitch up and down,4 or 5 times to bleed out the air.If this tractor has a loader lift your front end up off the ground,then turn your steering wheel completely around in one direction ..then in the opposite direction,4 or 5 times.Maybe this will Help...
