I drove my 340 rowcrop home from where I bought it almost exactly one year ago. Wide front. Five miles in 5th at near full throttle and the front was steady. Since then I've greased the heck out of it and gave it some sorely needed TLC as it had been badly neglected. I took it to town a day or two ago just to stretch it out and found that I couldn't go much past 1/4 throttle in top gear without the front shaking so badly that you couldn't control it. I tightened up the tie rod connections and also found a slightly loose wheel bearing. I took the big nut off the front and tightened the bearing in there as well. All that took alot of play out of the steering wheel. Took it out on the road and the problem is still there. If I run with one front wheel on the dirt shoulder the shake is less but I still can only go about 1/3-1/2 throttle. Any suggestions besides rebuilding the steering gears inside? That's a bit out of my league. Could aligning it take care of the problem? Thanks in advance for your input. Y'all are the best.
