The week my dad's 300 was new it sheared key in cast wheel. The IH dealer took the wheel and had a keyway cut in the cast wheel. They put that back together with a square key stock. It was around the farm for 32 years and 5 engine rebuilds. The tractor is still going strong. That is 47 years ago. New owner tells me he rebuilt engine again about 5 years ago. They can't be working it as hard as we used to. Engine needed a crank this time. If this is the case for OhioH a simple piece of key stock will fix. My dad's 300 is not the only tractor I have seen this on. I have seen a couple with both wheels with key stock, actually looked as though it may have been a factory job.
