Don , it sounds like your H almost starts then is flooded when you choke it for the 5 or 6 lifts. I would give it about half throttle and pull the choke about half and hit the starter. Both my H's start this way, then I play the choke till they smooth out. My one H will flood if I give it full choke for 5 or 6 lifts(RPMs)with the starter engaged.In the warm weather I just hit the starter button. As for the plugs I have Champions in all my Farmalls but I really believe there are better plugs and one H that is restored should run perfectly and every once in a while I get a high rpm miss then it will disappear..I am going to try Autolite 3116 plugs.
