Walter: If you have the mag removed from your tractor, turn the end thats normally inside the mag housing on the engine,keep your finger away from the kill wire lug, it bites when the mag snaps. Keep turning it until snaps to each cylinder contact position, you may see that on number four, it act differnetly then the remaining cylinder positions, does snap or doesn't stop. again hope this helps you locate your problem.
