The D-358 engine also has other place where it can leak antifreeze into the oil in addition to the single o-rings around the outside of the cylinder sleeve. There is an oil cooler on the right side of the engine under the exhaust manifold and there are 6 EXPANSION PLUGS (frost plugs) under the rocker arm assembly, on top of the cylinder head. There are three different sizes according to the parts book, depending upon the casting number of the cylinder head and guess what, they are metric, 25, 32 or 34 mm in size. I have replaced these because anti-freeze will eat through them and you will get antifreeze in the oil. I recommend that you pull the oil pan and remove the valve cover and find a hand pump that can be attached to the top of the radaitor. With the radiator full of antifreeze, pressureize it to 10 lbs. and then start looking where the green trail of antifreeze is coming from. If one of these expansion plugs are leaking it's sure a lot easier than pulling cylinder sleeves to replace o-rings. Good luck MN Charlie

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
