The 10 amps should be just fine, that relates to the amount(rate) of charge,not the fact that it is 12 volts.The timing is done just as it would be it 6 or 12 volts, actually easier now that it is 12,you need not geta 12 vlt batt to run the light with.How does it sound? does it start easy? probably dont have to mess with the timing.Good luck-Fred
