I have a local machine shop that will "pin" cracks in heads and blocks. I know they did a head for an M one time that had cracks in the combustion chambers.

I would take it to local machine shops or welding shops - they will evaluate on a case by case basis for a small fee.

Remember, you can probably get a rebuilt head from valu-built or other places for around $500 or so.
