Hey Red! I haven't had very many tractors apart but all that I have worked on had the "std" mark on them to let me know they are the standard bearing. I wonder if you have aftermarket bearings in that tractor. Like you I aquired a rusty old H as well as an M to restore. The H has a cracked block in the same location yours did. I found a block in a salvage yard so hope to go pick it up this week sometime. The M isn't stuck so I am looking forward to working on it. Both the H and the M are 1947. Good luck with the Raceway M!
