Not sure on the 460, but you should run 93 octane in the bigger gassers if you're going to be working it, so you don't melt a piston. We've got a 706 gas, which doesn't get too much hard work anymore, only gets loader work, spreading manure during the winter (starts much easier than the 686 diesel), occasionally some time on a NH 492 haybine, and it runs on 87 octane just fine. However, I would definetly run 93 if I was going to work it.
