I'll confess, I'm a JD man but I still have a lot of respect for the old Farmalls. I'd say try a different dealer, or even a different parts man in that dealership. There are lots of old Farmalls around the Texas Panhandle. I'm north of you by several miles. in Dalhart.
For the Hytran, try going to Gebo's and getting the Harvest King Transdraulic. You can get it specifically for Case-IH or a Universal that will work in many breeds of machinery.
By the way, Welcone to the Texas Panhandle.
