The work involved... I can't say. Lucky me, I've never had to repair a TA. I'll probably be purchasing a 1954 SMTA tomorrow - so that task may be looming on the horizon. As for parts, I've seen somewhere where you could get a sprag (sp?) type TA (this type is supposed to be stronger than the OEM TA) for about $400, exchange. Keep us posted - I tend to follow threads that may end up at my door step.
