CD - Your bolster shim question is a good one. The shim does NOT appear in my SH parts catalog. However it's definitely an IHC casting, it carries an IHC part number and my SH has one (the one in the photo). But my father in law's SH does not have one. I've begun looking at other H's and SH's at shows - observed most of them do not have the shim, but every so often I spot one that does. Go figure...
