The first semi I ever drove was an R190 with a red Diamond 450 cu in engine. It had a tag axle and we pulled a 35 or 40 ft trailer loaded to 73000 lbs gross weight. It was mighty slow by today's standards but it got up and down the road ok in the late '50's. I can tell you that is one tough truck. It will handle as many tractors as you can fit on a 40 or 45 ft flatbed trailer. The 501 cu in was also available in the semi tractor so that's another possibility for yours. What a lucky find you got. Good luck with it.
