Blue smoke when you start the engine on one of these tractors is always normal, since they do not have valve seals, some oil will go past the valve guides into the cylinder. Constant blue smoke I think would be okay as long as it isn't really thick, given the hours you have on yours. What you really need to do is work it a little bit pulling something or going up a few hills in a higher gear. I would agree with you that your rings probably aren't seated yet. I have 36 hours on my H rebuild and it still smokes when the engine is cold. It quits as soon as I work it a little bit. I'm not worried. Steven
