Rube Goldberg was my first thought when I saw that! Looks pretty good although I'd probably add a 45 degree brace at the top, as long as it's safe 'cause that's what counts. I used four threaded rods to install my pump. It took a little while but it was simple. I imagine you can use that rig for other things too.
