My Dad did custom baling when He got out of the Army after WWII... Used an H with a 50-T baler... and I've used a 55-T baler behind My Super H...Works great if they have their own engine... I also used a #37 PTO baler on the Super H... and it worked fine as long as the windrows weren't too big and were consistent. "SM" is a Super M... but to get a live PTO You need to get a Super M-TA. And M&W did make a "Hand Clutch" that made the PTO act live for the IH H&M...but they're rather rare and parts are scarce & expensive. If you don't have that much hay to make and it's fairly level Your H should do O-K.... won't be fast... but that just makes for more "Seat Time".
