sounds like your mag has been altered if the mag is still on the tractor you must have a coil mounted elsewhere the threaded condenser is the original one used in a mag therefore your timing cannot be advanced or retarded as that is the way they are when running the 30+ degrees you are reading is correct asfor power better take a compression check
