Your best bet is to talk to the person that had it before you. See if they bought it new or who they bought it from. If the tractor has stayed in the same area its whole life it will probably be fairly simple to trace it back that way. People seem to remember where they bought something or who they got it from. Otherwise I don't know of any other way to find out for sure. Most dealerships from the fifty's are no longer in buisness and even if they are they probably don't have any information. A log of serial numbers on new tractors sold would be vertually useless to the dealership after the warrenty of the tractor ran out.
