i was working on my f-20, had the engine crankcase pan off so i could adjust the rod bearings from the bottom. i'd drained the oil out a week before so there wouldn,t be an anoying drip while i lay under the engine and worked. i'd just had my hands over the top of the crankshaft moving the crankshaft around and moved my hands down to get another hold on the crank and when i did, the magneto impulsed, the crank jumped out of my hand and turned a complete turn. i didn't think to disconnect the wires from the magneto. i could have mangled my arm, i disconnect the wires and remove the sparkplugs now.
