Did the washer have a hole in it or was it more of a round disk? Found a round disk in the same spot on my Super C about the same size as a silver dollar. Turned out to be the freeze plug that goes over the cam shaft hole on back of the motor. Caused quite and oil leak. Hope this is not your problem, had to split tractor to replace this doo dad.
