At 120to 150 hp it is still a lot of hp and fuel to bale hay. If you consider a 656 or 560 diesels will probably bale the hay faster as they are more agile and will get around corners quicker, and they would probably do it on 2.5 gals. per hour. If your farming today with more than 1/2 hp per acre then you are hobby farming and if you are hobby farming with a 1066, you better have deep pockets. It is no cheaper to farm with a 1066 than any new 150 hp tractor. The basic difference is on the 25 year old tractor you don;t have to make the payment next month.
